On September 26, Lee will lead the labyrinth walk
at New Life on the theme,
"A Walk Into Healing"

Lee Matthew is a Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator and a member of the Veriditas Board of Directors. Veriditas is a nonprofit organization that originated through the work of Lauren Artress at Grace Episcopal Cathedral in San Francisco. The vision of Veriditas is to activate and facilitate the transformation of the human spirit. The work of Veriditas centers around the Labyrinth Experience as a personal practice for healing and growth, a tool for community building, an agent for global peace and a metaphor for life. For more information on Veriditas, see www.veriditas.org.

Lee first became fascinated with labyrinths as a graduate student in Paris, France, in the early 1970s. At the time, the famous labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral outside Paris was covered and could not be walked. Attending the Veriditas programs in Chartres over the past couple of years, Lee was finally able to realize her decades-old dream of walking the Chartres labyrinth. Lee has had the good fortune to walk both labyrinths at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral every year for more than a decade, and she walks some of the many labyrinths in New Mexico as often as she can.
